Sometimes, it seems like there’s nothing you can do anymore.  It’s just empty, unavoidable, empty, unfair, and empty.  The white walls are bare and wet, freshly painted.  The acid smell of paint lingers in the air, filling me with nothing but dizziness and sorrow.  I look around at what had once been my kingdom, my fortress.  There is no time to think or play anymore.  Just pack and make it more empty.  Where it had once been warm and cozy, echos sound when you talk.  Where it had once been cluttered now has nothing but the bare carpet.  It’s all gone, and there’s nothing you can do but watch and cry.  Nothing you can do to stop the emptiness from growing, around you and inside you.  I just sit in your arms and sob and you hug me and tell me it’ll all be okay.  We’ll see each other again.  But it won’t be the same.  Who will be there to make fun of me when I make a little mistake, but then yell at anyone else who tries to join in?  Who will be there asking me to bring her a freshly baked cupcake, or just bake them with me?  Who will obsess with me, and gossip about those who obsess too?  Who will always be there to help me through tough times when I need you, as you’re doing now.  I’ll be alone without you.  You always said that we were the same person, and you were right, but how will I go on being only half a person?  You were always there, from before I can remember.  In fact, you were there so much that my family loved you as much as they love me.  You are my sister, but now I have to leave you behind.  Now, as they take my stuff and create the emptiness, I’ll be even more empty inside then ever before.  I know I’ll see you again, but the time that passes before that may as well be an eternity.  Now it’s time for me to go, but I just don’t know how to say goodbye.

Well, I haven't moved yet, but this is sort of what I imagined it might be like on that day. I came close to sobbing as I wrote this, but I couldn't stop. I did have a situation similar to this when people came to our house and took a lot of our stuff into storage. I called the friend I referred to and just sobbed into the phone while she listened. We really are like sisters, and she really has said all the time that we're the same person, and she's right. I still am not sure how I'm going to say goodbye to her.

i'm sorry this is happening to you. i've never moved before, so i'm not really sure what it's like. it must be really hard, in the least though. *sympathizes*
